The end of the year is about reflection, right? You look back and you think about things you’ve done, things you haven’t gotten around to just yet, and you start thinking about what you are going to get up to next year. Some things will stay the same. I’ll still go outside and play in the dirt. I’ll go to the beach a time or two (I plan to go more next year. There really is no reason not to, it is practically right outside my door.). I’ll read lots of books, stay obsessively on top of the news, and cook lots of yummy new dishes. Not that I make up recipes. Heavens no. But I do like to cook so I depend on the goodwill of others who know how to make things up and post the recipe on the internet. I’ll try to stay out of trouble and not cause myself too much bodily injury in spite of my constant war with the laws of physics.
I plan on trying out a few new things next year, just to keep things interesting. I am going to go camping. With a tent and everything. I’m starting a new way of eating; this year I’m going gluten-free. Not that I have a choice about that, really, but I prefer to see it as a good thing and a new culinary adventure. And maybe I’ll try being a bit more crafty. And maybe, just maybe, I’ll get serious about this whole photography thing I’ve got going on.
That’s why I’m writing this blog. I want to be able to sit down at the end of next year and be able to review my (mis)adventures. So come on by and sit a spell when you have a moment. I’ll tell you about what I’m reading, growing or cooking and what I’m up to now. Hopefully along the way we can share a laugh or two. Take care until next time.
